Transport, parking and shopping

Isola Pescatori can easily be reached from the mainland towns of Stresa and Baveno using either the Navigazione Lago Maggiore public boat service or the taxi boats available from either Stresa or Baveno with Stresatours, Laketours . Boats take between 10 and 15 minutes to reach the island depending on the town you depart from, Baveno boat station is Closer. If you choose Navigazione Lago Maggiore  boat service I suggest you consider their monthly ticket for unlimited travel between Isola Pescatori and Stresa or Baveno for around 31⁄€ per person, weekly tickets are not available. 

If you plan to come by plane it is a 50 minute drive from Malpensa (MXP) airport, and there is a summertime bus service.

Stresa has a train station where many international trains on the Milan - Bern or Geneva route stop.

Parking in summer in Stresa or Baveno can be difficult as it is busy, but Baveno is easier for parking. There are multiple parking areas. I suggest you try these areas. 

Shopping for food is limited on Isola Pescatori, there are multiple supermarkets in Stresa and Baveno.

IMPORTANT: Trains to Stresa and Baveno in summer 2025  bus service replaces trains on the Domodossola-Milano line between 8 June to 27 July and 30 August to 13 September.
